Kansas Inservice Training System (link to KITS)
KITS is a program of the University of Kansas Life Span Institute at Parsons and is supported through grants from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment-Infant Toddler Services. The KITS project is designed to provide a training and resource system for early intervention networks and early childhood special education program staff through collaborative training and technical assistance activities on a comprehensive statewide basis.
KITS supports professional development through training developed or sponsored by KITS and training opportunities from a variety of organizations via an online collaborative training calendar.
Additionally, the Early Childhood, Special Education and Title Services (ECSET) provides technical assistance to districts and schools across the state. ECSET supports Kansas students, early childhood through secondary, to meet Kansas Standards. This includes the development, implementation, and continuous improvement monitoring process that ensures compliance with federal and state laws and administrative regulations, including the engagement of the student, families, and the community.
